Non-custodial and Custodial Wallets

On website onboarding, you will be defaulted to the Hytrade wallet (custodial). You can deposit HYPE by sending wallet to the ‘Hytrade Wallet’ address, as shown in theDeposit page.

To better help our users trade as effieciently as possible -

Hytrade supports two wallet type:

(Personal wallets) Non-custodial wallets: this is just your own wallet, that uses the available EVM $HYPE balance in your wallet. To use this wallet, you must sign transactions, as we do not see your private key.

(Hytrade Wallets) Custodial wallets: this is a wallet that is provisioned to you (but connected to your wallet), that allows the Hytrade platform to perform trades without any transaction confirmations for smoother transactions.

It is up to you which one to use, though Hytrade Wallets are reccomended for the most seamless experience.

How to start trading with non-custodial wallets

To start trading with a non-custodial wallet, just make sure that you have an available Hyperliquid EVM $HYPE balance! You can bridge via our platform (via the deBridge widget), or convert from PERPS to SPOT using the Hyperliquid platform, or bridge from Arbitrum —> Hyperliquid using the ‘Convert Arbitrum to Hyperliquid USDC’ button.

How to start trading with custodial wallets

  1. Make sure that you are toggled to a custodial wallet. Custodial wallets will show a ‘Hytrade balance’. In the Deposit or Profile page, you can toggle to ‘Switch to a Custodial Wallet’
  2. Go to the Deposit page
  3. Send HyperEVM $HYPE to the wallet address shown below
  4. Wait for confirmation.
  5. Begin trading!
